VRChat & Unity Boundary Guide
Last updated: 14 May 2026
This page is informational. It explains the boundary between Flowye, VRChat, Unity, creator storefronts, marketplaces, and third-party assets.
Flowye is independent
Flowye is independent from VRChat and Unity. Flowye is not affiliated with, approved by, endorsed by, or sponsored by VRChat or Unity.
Flowye helps creators protect their own distribution workflow. It does not replace the rules of VRChat, Unity, storefronts, marketplaces, or third-party asset licenses.
What Flowye can help with
Flowye is intended for creator-controlled package/import/activation/distribution workflows unless an explicit platform integration is documented.
Flowye may help creators:
- manage protected products and protected slots;
- prepare or review protected package workflows;
- provide buyer activation/licensing checks;
- reduce unauthorized access, sharing, leaking, and circumvention;
- see activation and review information through the Creator Dashboard.
Flowye may later offer limited Managed Services, Distribution Services, or Public Availability Check features. These features do not make Flowye an official VRChat or Unity integration unless a specific product document says so.
What Flowye does not grant
Flowye does not grant permission to use VRChat, Unity, SDKs, marketplaces, storefronts, or third-party assets in ways those services or licenses do not allow.
Flowye does not grant rights to sell, upload, distribute, modify, package, or protect content the creator does not own or does not have permission to use.
Creators must ensure they have the rights needed to sell, package, protect, distribute, modify, and upload the content they protect.
Platform and marketplace rules still apply
Flowye does not override VRChat Marketplace, Creator Economy, storefront, marketplace, or platform-specific buyer rights.
If a platform gives buyers specific rights or limits seller control, those platform rules still apply within that platform.
Flowye should not be used to bypass VRChat, Unity, marketplace, storefront, creator economy, or third-party asset rules.
Runtime claims
Flowye should be described as a Unity/package/import/activation/distribution workflow unless a specific product document says otherwise.
Do not imply that Flowye provides runtime control over content inside VRChat unless Flowye explicitly documents that functionality.
Do not imply that Flowye can revoke rights granted by VRChat, Unity, storefronts, marketplaces, or third-party licenses.
Do not imply that Flowye performs scraping, enumeration, mass monitoring, or platform-wide crawling. If Public Availability Check is offered, it should be optional, limited, based on creator-provided identifiers, rate-limited, and disabled when needed for platform, legal, security, provider, or operational reasons.
Buyer support boundaries
Buyers should contact:
- VRChat for VRChat account, platform, moderation, or upload issues;
- Unity or creator documentation for Unity editor issues unrelated to Flowye activation;
- the creator or storefront for avatar/product purchase issues, missing files, product quality, avatar refunds, and avatar-specific setup;
- Flowye for technical activation issues where relevant.
If a creator's Protected Avatar Slot expires, the slot may enter Archived Mode. Existing protected releases should not be intentionally broken only because the creator does not renew, but Flowye may pause New Provisioning, new managed distribution, rebuilds, monitoring, dashboard actions, or other Managed Services for that slot.
